CALLAWAY, VA :: When the 2014 season starts at Franklin County Speedway many things will be changed for the better, such as the officials, procedures and much more including our tow truck.
Big Lick Towing and Recovery has signed on to become the “Official Towing Company” of Franklin County Speedway for the 2014 season and beyond. Big Lick Towing brings a wealth of experience in the towing industry and will be a welcome sight for the racers and fans alike.
“You hope no one ever needs a tow truck at the track,” said track promoter Langley Austin. “But, that’s just not the nature of racing. Our drivers are on the chip and on the edge all the time and things happen. When it does we’ll have someone whose sole focus is to get the carnage cleaned up as soon as possible.”
Big Lick Towing and Recovery, LLC manager Steve Toombs is excited about the opportunity to handle the towing duties at the track.
“Who doesn’t love racing,” asked Toombs. “Franklin County Speedway is a landmark in the Roanoke Valley. One of our tow truck drivers (JC Morgan) races there and it provided the perfect opportunity for us to get involved.”
Big Lick Towing and Recovery is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for all your towing needs and is located at 5115 Benois Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018. You can reach Big Lick Towing and Recovery at (540) 581-4494.
Franklin County Speedway is gearing up for one of the biggest seasons in the tracks history as they celebrate 45 consecutive years of racing. The season kicks off on Sunday April 13th at 3pm with the Racing Dynamiks 200 featuring a 100-lap Late Model race and plus racing in Street Stocks, Mod 4, Street ModZ, U-Car and Mini Cups.
