Rules Update for the 2017 as of January 17, 2017.
The Late Model Division will follow the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car rules with the following exceptions:
Engine Options, Weight and Carburetors …
*Cars running a NASCAR Legal built engine must weigh 3,100 pounds total and 1,375 right side and run a 500 cfm carburetor.
Option to run the 350 cfm carburetor on the NASCAR Legal Built Engine at 3,000 pounds and 1,325 right side.
Cars running the Traditional (Non-Ultra) 500 cfm carburetor can drop 25 pounds on the right side weight (1,350 rs)
*Cars running GM Crate Engine Part #88958604 must weigh 3,050 pounds & 1,350 right side and run either a 650 cfm or a 390 cfm carburetor.
*Cars running GM Crate Engine Part #24502609-ZZ4 of Part #88958603 must weigh 3,000 pounds and 1,325 pounds right side and run either a 650 cfm or a 390 cfm carburetor.
*Cars running Ford Crate D347SR must weigh 3,100 pounds and 1,390 pounds right side and run either a 650 cfm or a 390 cfm carburetor.
*FCS will not be allowing the new NASCAR Spec Engine as of Now. We reserve the Right to Re-evaluate this engine package at any point and time.
SUSPENSION – Coilbinding and Bumpstops will be allowed.
RIDE HEIGHT – Ride Height will not be checked at any point or time.
SHOCKS – See NWAAS Rules.
50 pound weight reduction for Spec Shocks like Kingsport LMSC runs or Limiteds at Motor Mile Speedway. (Split 25 pounds each side of the car.)
BURN-OFF – 3/4 (0.75) Pound per Lap will be Accounted for Following the Race Event. Weight Must be Right at Other times being checked.
TIRES — Contact the track for more information.
TRANSPONDERS — Every competitor is required to run a transponder on their car. Transponders are available for rent from the track at each event. You may also bring your own if it works with our system at no cost to you.
OTHER CARS — FCS will allow cars to compete from other tracks with weight additions and/or restrictor plates added in lieu of competition at the Tech Directors discretion. Please contact Langley Austin 276.613.4208 to be prepared before arriving.
